Trend Bible
Trend bible is one of my fave blogs, i really love how they have a very minimlistic style but use beautiful vintage imagery. Here are three new trends which have inspired me.
Saltburn
When visting my boyfriend in Saltburn i noticed that the victorian beach huts have been painted in such beautiful colours and has really inspired my colour pallet for my research. These beach huts were originally red and cream , but have been modernized and have become more and more desirable due to the vintage seaside theme which is catching on.

Viv Westwood @ Bowes museum
For all fashionistas who are fond of fabulous footwear (and let's face it, you're hardly a fashionista if you're not!), don't miss your chance to see the Vivienne Westwood Shoes exhibition at the Bowes Museum in County Durham which opens on Friday 10 June for one month only.
Running from 10 June–10 July 2011, this exhibition celebrates the ingenuity and creativity of British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, focusing on her designs of the ultimate fetish object: the shoe.
Visitors have only one month to catch this prestigious international exhibition before it then travels to Japan, New York and China.
The exhibition will be displayed in the museum’s new Fashion & Textile Gallery and will showcase around 200 shoe designs and trace the exceptional success of Dame Westwood’s career to date. Illustrating her defiance of the rules of wearability and convention, the exhibition is also evidence of her uncompromising quest for superb craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Second year.
Second year is now over, i cannot believe how fast it went only one more year to go very scary.I recently received my results for my contextual studies and professional studies which i got a 2:1 and a !st very surprised and very happy. My exit tutorial is at the end of the week were i will receive my results for my last project. We have already been set our work for over summer so i have been working hard looking for a new trend to inspire my minor project.Summer is going to be very busy , off to london new designers in june. I am also going to a summer school work shop in nottingham on Trend forecasting and then in july i am going for a week summer school at Central st martins for a Fashion & textiles trend forecasting which i am very excited for but very scared aswell.Once i finish uni i hope to get into the trend industry and as i can not get any work experience in trend forecasting as i have a design background hopefully this will boost my cv and help me learn a lot more about Trends.I am also waiting back for my date to work in the trend dept at Hallmark .I also visited the 3rd year degree show which was really good and also gave me loads of ideas about what i want to do in 3rd year and what i want to create for my final collection.
